1888: 19-year-old Joseph Vacher was closely following in the press the crimes of a mysterious killer who was haunting the streets of Whitechapel. His reign of terror lasted three years and resulted in eleven victims, slaughtered, disemboweled, sexually mutilated and desecrated to satisfy, according to the experts of the time, “his grim passion”.
